Dot matrix printing has existed for a very long time and is still very much in use today by
manufacturing, wholesale, trading, and distribution companies. While it has served the purpose of
customers' convenience in acknowledging invoices/deliveries with the assurance of using signatures
with carbon copies, the quality and misalignment issues have always been an inherent part of the
process. The "dotty" print quality, misalignments, and the need to stock up on pre-printed forms
have become a bigger issue given the need to scan and convert to digital soft copies and companies
wanting to automate document matching process.
Dot2ink is a DX (Digital Transformation) initiative designed to "digitalize" dot-matrix printing
process by replacing conventional dot-matrix printers with ink-jet MFPs with embedded Bizmann's
dot2ink software application. Implementing dot2ink is a very practical means to digitalise
dot-matrix printing process to digital. The cost is very affordable for most companies and there
are
even cost savings when we analyse the manual invoice/delivery printing and collection process.
dot2ink is an ingenuous DX initiative and an excellent implementation project for companies
wishing
to achieve ESG or sustainability goals.
